As part of the Group’s innovation and sustainability strategy, Ce.Ri.Col. – Colorobbia Research Centre, based in Sovigliana-Vinci – is the hub dedicated to the development of new materials, processes and applications.
Thanks to multidisciplinary expertise, pilot plants and advanced technologies, the Centre carries out research spanning ceramics, textiles, medicine and cultural heritage conservation, in ongoing collaboration with universities and international research centres.

The Importance of Coating
Ce.Ri.Col. develops functional coatings using sol-gel technology, creating hybrid materials for multifunctional surfaces. These coatings offer scratch-resistant, antibacterial and hydrophobic properties on metals, glass and ceramics. The centre supports the entire process, from formulation to industrial scale-up.
